Descriptions
In the furniture industry, there are various kitchen laminate coatings on the market. Here's a summary of each to help you narrow down your choices.
1. HighGloss (Gloss) Laminate Kitchen;
As the name suggests, glossy polished laminate has a polished surface that is almost as reflective as a mirror. If you use lighter colors, your cabinets will revolve around the light and make your kitchen appear brighter than it is. However, if you don't have time to keep cleaning, don't opt for this finish; It is high maintenance requiring regular spray cleaning as even fingerprints are easily visible. These surfaces will also scratch easily, which means careful handling is paramount.
2. Matte Coating
Matte polished laminates are moderately reflective and easier to keep clean than high gloss surfaces. They are functional, durable and not easy to scratch, and they do not show dirt very easily. Interior cabinets and drawers are usually covered with a matte laminate. On the outside, you can also choose a thicker laminate with a thickness of at least 1 mm.
3. Textured laminate Kitchen;
Laminates with textured surfaces that are very similar to the look and feel of real wood surfaces make your kitchen appear to be finished with natural wood. You can also choose ribbed and dotted textures and leather coverings.
Note that textured surfaces can trap oil and dust and will need to be wiped with soapy water at least once a month to prevent dirt build-up. These laminates are very durable and do not show scratches or dirt easily.
4. Solid Color
We've all seen and loved the vibrant colors that some kitchens come from; Popular color options are bright yellow, green, blue, and red. If you like this style, choose tones that complement each other and add liveliness to your room. There is a wide range of colors to choose from, so try out unusual colors that match your personality. Solid colored laminates are available in both glossy and matte.
